Here's a not so good pic of Philip and I after our night out.
One of our very good friends got married tonight. She's a beautiful girl and comes from a beautiful family. The wedding was - well, you guessed - BEAUTIFUL!
At her wedding they asked all the married couples to come to the dance floor. This kind of tricked my husband because he thought he was just participating in a game. Much to his surprise, it was a dance for married couples. He had to dance. While we were dancing I told him that this was the very FIRST DANCE we have ever danced together. It brought tears to my eyes. I actually danced with the man of my dreams! It was awesome.
I must explain why we have never danced. When I was growing up and sowing my oats, I did quite a bit of dancing. My husband on the other hand, was a Baptist Preacher's Son, and he sowed his oats in other ways. Because we all know that Baptist's DON'T DANCE!!! - WHATEVER!!
Anyways, he never learned to dance. So he was never comfortable taking me on the dance floor. But, he did mention tonight that if we took dance lessons, he would love to dance with me. So needless to say, I'm looking up dance lessons TONIGHT!
Back to the married couples game - they eliminated couples by how many years we were married. Philip and I made it till they said those that were married less than 10 years had to leave. We've been married almost nine. But the winners were a couple that had been married 65 years - WOW! They were cute. But it was most fun seeing the runner's up. They had been married 32 or 33 years and they were our dear friends - Mike & Angel. Congrats guys on a long, wonderful marriage. I hope that when Philip and I have been married that long we can still cut a rug like you guys.
